Link’s Awakening - Tail Cave

This week in The Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening, Link is shipwrecked, and awakens on the mysterious Koholint Island. He meets the residents of Mabe village, and an enigmatic owl. The owl tells Link he must awaken the Wind Fish if he wishes to leave the island. We're taking the first steps to awaken the Wind Fish by venturing into the first dungeon in the game, Tail Cave.

Corrections:

1. There is a reward for collecting all the Mario Statuettes, it's a chamber dungeon piece and a discount at the Trendy Game. I forgot.

2. Moldorm is not the first boss to speak in the series, both Blind and Ganon has lines in A Link to the Past. He's the first to speak in this game, and all bosses will have lines which is why it struck me differently.

New information:

You can get bombs before Tail Cave in the Gameboy versions, you just need to acquire the shovel from the shop first. Once you have the shovel bombs will appear for sale. Bombs only appear after completing Bottle Grotto on the Switch Remake.
