The Development of Link’s Awakening
In 1989 Nintendo launched the Gameboy. The handheld system allowed gamers to play on the go. It was a pocket-sized video game console, which offered pocket-sized games. In 1993 the Zelda team would prove a full Legend of Zelda adventure could fit on the tiny Gameboy screen. We’re exploring The Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening on the fourth Season of Legendary Adventures. This week I talk about how the game got its start in a sort of "after school club" inside Nintendo.
Legendary Adventures is a podcast dedicated to exploring the evolution of the Legend of Zelda video game series by playing through each game in release order. Each season focuses on one game in the series.
